Given:
Length = 1000 ft. I = 79.92 A
PF = Cosq = 0.26 Sinq = Sin(Cos-1q) = 0.966
R = 0.51 W /1000 ft. X = 0.0796W/1000 ft.
Ract = (0.51W /1000 ft.)(1000ft.) = 0.51 W
Xact = (0.0796W/1000 ft.)(1000 ft.) = 0.0796 W
Voltage Drop Calculation:
VD = IRCosq + IXSinq ß From IEEE Red Book
VD = I[RCosq + XSinq]
VD = 79.92 [(0.51)( 0.26) + (0.0796)(0.966)] = 16.74 V
VD3q = Ö3 X VD = Ö3 X 16.74 V = 28.99 V
V D3q % = (28.99/4160V) X 100 = 0.698 % ß Same as PTW32 result
