Question: How do I install MemoHASP drivers from the command prompt?

If you have an Aladdin MemoHASP hardware key and PTW refuse to start or gives you error messages when you try to install the drivers, you must manually install the drivers from the command prompt.

Solution:  Complete the following steps:

Step 1 – Please ensure that the Glenco hardware lock driver is not installed.  You can uninstall the Glenco drivers by going to Start – Programs – Power Tools for Windows – Key Utility.  Select the Glenco Hardlock LT option and click “Go to Key Program…”  Select “Remove the Device Driver” and click “OK”.  Exit Key Utility.

Step 2 – Click on Start and navigate to Run.  Type in CMD and click on “OK”.  Navigate to the C drive by typing ‘C:’ and press enter.

Step 3 – Type ‘cd ptw32’ and press enter.  Type ‘cd bin’ and press enter.  You should now be located at the bin folder inside ptw32.

Step 4 – Type in ‘hinstall –kp’ and press enter.  Wait for the following message:
