Solution: To disable the display of energized state components including the annotation symbols in a different color.  Select “Project – Options – One-Line” and uncheck “Display energized state” and click ‘OK’.

To change the color of non-energized components, Select “Project – Options – One-Line” and under the “Option Subviews”, select “Current Project Colors”.  Select “Not Energized…” and choose the desired color.  Click ‘OK’ in the dialog box and Options window to apply the effect and exit
